I'm a New Jersey–based writer and book collaborator who writes the weekly What You Get and What You Get in California columns for the New York Times Real Estate section. My work has also appeared in/at the Smithsonian, the New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, Lapham's Quarterly, Curbed, the Paris Review, NY Mag, Dwell, and a number of other outlets.
As a book collaborator, I’ve helped CEO’s, TV stars, entrepreneurs and other people with hard-won expertise and great stories turn their experience into books with major publishers.
As a copywriter, I've worked on content for WeWork, Farmhouse Fresh, Lantern, and a number of other clients, and I love working on branded content, especially in the lifestyle, home, and travel spaces.
I've also been a tour guide at a historic house museum in Manhattan, a college radio host, and (briefly) a hair show model.
I hold a Master's in Historic Preservation from Columbia University, where my thesis focused on the interpretation of nineteenth-century New York City brothel sites for a modern audience.
For book and collaboration inquiries, my agent is Dara Kaye at WME.
